Top Ten Most Anticipated Releases For The First Half of 2016

Top Ten Most Anticipated Releases for the First Half of 2016
(Feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish)

Here's the thing by these kinds of lists.  I research.  I get excited.  And then I forget about the books and get distracted by other new, shiny titles that come into my library.  Fail.  It happened on multiple occasions this year, and I know I missed out on SO many great titles.  So I have decided, being the spreadsheet junkie that I am, to add a list to my 2016 Reads spreadsheet where I track what I've read, page numbers, and formats.  There are lovely, lovely tabs at the bottom that allow for endless lists and tracking.  Sigh.  I can just imagine the structure and organization and it fills me with joy (almost as much as July when the rows and rows of school supplies emerge at retail stores.  "Don't you love New York in the fall? It makes me want to buy school supplies. I would send you a bouquet of newly-sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address."  Anyone?  You've Got Mail?  Another sigh.

I feel like I've gotten off track a bit (that never happens!).  Anyways, here are ten books that I'm very excited to read the first half of 2016.  What's on your list?

1) The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater (April 26th)
2) The Siren by Kiera Cass (January 26th)

3) The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine (February 16th)

4) The Girl from Everywhere by Heidi Heilig (February 16th)

5) The Dark Days Club by Alison Goodman (January 26th)

6) Starflight by Melissa Landers (February 2nd)

7) The Love That Split the World by Emily Henry (January 26th)

8) Unhooked by Lisa Maxwell (February 2nd)

9) Everland by Wendy Spinale (April 26th)

10) The Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas (May 3rd)

  1. I'm seeing a few of these on a lot of lists today! I have yet to read the Raven Boys series or ACOTAR, but they're both on my TBR list. And Unhooked looks very tempting. I almost requested it from NetGalley, but I'm working hard to cut back and I already have several books for that month. I hope you get the chance to read all of these!

    1. I highly recommend The Raven Boys...but then again I'm a little fangirl-ish about Maggie Stiefvater :)

    2. She lives in the neighboring county, so I've gotten to hear her talk about writing at one of the library branches (all the neighboring counties but mine share a library system.) She's amazing!
